We’ve been papped over 20 times in India. Jenny is more popular than me! A bunch of teenagers or families with children wield their phones and ask for a photo with them. Or a gang of school girls will surround and each record a brief moment.
It's because we are foreign and it remains something of note to know a foreigner even if it is just for 3 seconds while taking the photo. One of a group of girls will ask Jenny to be in a photo. Then all her friends gather round and one by one they stand next to here, take a grinning photo and move on happy with the result. It's quite extraordinary, but we won't let it go to our heads.
